Mineral Creations – The Jewelry of Hard Rocks Custom Designed by Karyn & Robert
We formed Mineral Creations in 2008 as a way to share the peace and creativity we have found while discovering and creating our jewelry. Hand cut stones and artistically sculpted wire settings are the centerpiece of our business.
Robert was taken out by his Grandparents from a young age to hunt for the treasures found here in the western United States. It seems a foregone conclusion that he would find geology as part of his chosen profession. Nothing beats a day in the Rocky Mountains or the stunning red rock landscapes of the Uintah Basin. Our goal is that everyone can take a piece of this type of splendor home with them.
Nature never duplicates itself and there is something soothing about holding and turning a stone until you find just the right pattern in it. This is why stone is both the primary material in our jewelry and the inspiration for many of the designs. Several of our favorite stones come as complete surprises. As Robert cuts the stone, new images are revealed. The fun for Karyn is finding the right setting to compliment the unexpected.
